A company that creates talking AI avatar videos. Its technology is widely used for corporate training and instructional videos. According to reports from August 2026, Synthesia's avatar features are being used less to mimic celebrities and more to recreate the likeness of 'ordinary employees' within companies. Around the same time, Synthesia rolled out seven new features all at once that had been introduced in July, notably strengthening its role-play and dubbing capabilities. In August 2026, Synthesia also released a 'hard mode' quiz video challenging viewers to distinguish real footage from AI-generated video. In addition, a survey comparing several AI avatar generators using the same script found that costs varied by up to tenfold between services.
