xAI unveils Grok Bot agent beta, also works in Cursor

An AI coding editor. It lets users choose from third-party models while also training its own in-house model, Composer, and in August 2026 it was acquired by SpaceX, joining the same family as xAI. In August 2026, prompted by a GitHub outage, Cursor expanded beyond the editor by launching a code hosting service called 'Origin.' Around the same time, Cursor's CEO stated that the company should become a multi-product company spanning several products going forward. Cursor also began private beta testing of a new tab featuring codebase exploration and review functions.
