Runtime Host

A Runtime Host is an execution engine that keeps the actual work happening in just one place, even if the same program can be launched through several different screens or methods. Think of it like a car's engine. Whether you steer with your hands or press the self-driving button, there's still only one engine turning the wheels. Whether a user clicks through an app's visual interface, types into a text-only terminal tool, or runs a single command-line instruction, the part that actually opens files, runs programs, and produces results behind the scenes goes through the same engine.

Keeping multiple front-facing entry points while unifying the engine underneath has real benefits. No matter which path someone comes in through, the same rules and logging methods apply, which reduces confusion later when checking what happened or fixing problems. On the other hand, if things that look similar on the surface actually run on different engines underneath, you can end up with logs or behaviors that don't match up—even within the same company's product.
