Morning Brief

Morning Brief is a feature where Claude, the AI chatbot, prepares a summary of the day's schedule and work status while the user is away, so it's ready to view as soon as they open the app in the morning. It works something like an assistant laying out today's meeting times, free slots, and easy-to-miss items on the desk before the workday starts.

The feature is built by combining two existing pieces. One is the ability to schedule Claude to run tasks on its own at set times, and the other is the connection channel that pulls in data from external services like Slack or Notion. Morning Brief is essentially the combination that organizes the schedule and task data gathered through that channel and presents it to the user at the scheduled time each day.

In example screens that have surfaced, a day is shown divided into three blocks: a stretch packed with morning meetings, open time slots, and periods with no scheduled events. However, this has only been spotted on some users' screens so far, and the developer has not made an official announcement or confirmed the full scope of the feature.

News reports say "a new feature called 'Morning Brief' has appeared on the screens of some users of the Claude app." Notably, this wasn't an official announcement from Anthropic, the developer, but a case first surfaced through an outside observer account that tracks interface changes. In other words, while the feature's name and rough workings are known, whether it will officially launch and its full scope remain unconfirmed.
