LlamaIndex is a company that builds data frameworks to help large language models connect with and utilize external data. Its flagship product is the LlamaIndex framework, an open-source library used for document indexing and building retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines. The company also offers LlamaCloud, a cloud service that supports enterprise-grade data processing and deployment. Despite the similar name, LlamaIndex is a separate organization from Meta AI's Llama language model. LlamaIndex does not create that model itself; rather, it builds tools that connect various language models, including Llama, with data.
