LG AI Research is LG Group's artificial intelligence research organization, which researches and develops AI technologies including large language models. Its flagship models are the EXAONE series. According to an announcement in August 2026, LG AI Research unveiled the K-EXAONE 2.0 FP8 model, with 750 billion parameters. Around the same time, LG AI Research's Lee Moon-tae was reported to have cited sovereign AI as a key to achieving superintelligence.
