'Morning Brief' spotted on some users' screens
A new feature called "Morning Brief" has shown up on some Claude app users' screens, according to an X post from TestingCatalog. The account has a track record of catching interface changes on AI services like Claude and ChatGPT before official announcements, and this appears to be another case — Anthropic hasn't formally announced the feature yet. Per the post's description, Morning Brief runs on top of scheduled tasks and works by prompting users to set preferences and configure Connectors.
What the screenshots show
The attached screenshots show Claude's left sidebar listing New, Artifacts, Routines, Dispatch (marked "new"), Customize, and More. The Recents list includes "Get a morning brief" tagged as new, sitting alongside other coding tasks like promoting a calendar summary or adding test coverage. In other words, Morning Brief isn't a standalone screen — it's just another entry mixed into the existing tasks and routines list.
The onboarding modal introducing the feature carries the headline "Start every day already caught up," with the description: "Claude works in the background while you're away: a morning brief, ready before you sit down." The example screen inside the modal is set on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, and reads "three before ten, then the rest of the day is clear," breaking the day into three blocks: before 10 a.m. (back-to-back meetings), 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (three hours free), and after 1 p.m. (clear). Only the first of three pages in the modal has been made public, so what the remaining two pages explain isn't confirmed by this source.
Two existing Claude pieces: scheduled tasks and connectors
The two ingredients Morning Brief relies on — scheduled tasks and connectors — aren't new concepts. Connectors are the channels Claude uses to pull in data from external services like Slack, Notion, and Asana. As covered in Claude's MCP connectors now support enterprise-managed authentication, Anthropic rolled out general availability on August 24 for centrally managing connector authentication through a company's identity provider (IdP) on Team and Enterprise plans. Morning Brief effectively combines that connector-sourced schedule and work data with scheduled tasks to produce a daily rundown.

How it appears to work
Based on what's visible in the screenshots, entry points seem to include the Routines or Dispatch menu in Claude's left sidebar, or the "Get a morning brief" entry in the Recents list. When the onboarding modal appears, the first page introduces the feature and includes a "Next" button to move forward — but what the following pages actually show in terms of preference and connector setup isn't confirmed by these screenshots alone. Given the description, it's reasonable to assume users would go on to choose what kind of content they want in their brief (schedule, task priorities, etc.) and which connectors to link, but the exact screens won't be clear until later pages surface.
Who can see it right now
TestingCatalog only said the feature was spotted with "some users," without specifying which plan tier or region got it first. The post's closing line — "Did you get it too?" — is itself a sign the rollout hasn't reached everyone yet.
Editor's take
What makes Morning Brief interesting isn't the feature itself so much as where it showed up. Scheduled tasks and connectors used to exist as separate pieces, and folding them together into an ordinary entry in the Recents list hints at Anthropic's broader direction — turning Claude from a chatbot you ask questions of into an assistant that quietly organizes your day without being asked. Taken together with last week's enterprise connector authentication rollout and the AG-UI integration cookbook the week before, a three-step pipeline seems to be falling into place: connectors gather the data, scheduled tasks run automatically, and now the results get delivered to the screen every morning.
Claude used to require opening a chat window before you could ask it anything. If this combination sticks, the experience shifts to having a day's summary already waiting before you even open the chat — a direction that overlaps with what Microsoft Copilot and Google's calendar-summary features are doing, meaning competition in this space is quietly widening.
For teams in Korea, there's no need to rush just yet. This is an experimental feature limited to a handful of users, with no fixed plan tier or country rollout, and since it depends on connectors, teams that haven't already hooked up tools like Slack or Notion to Claude won't notice much difference right away. That said, teams already combining scheduled tasks and connectors could put this to immediate use once it launches officially — cutting down prep time before morning meetings.
There's a good chance Anthropic will formalize this feature in an official blog post or announcement within a few weeks. The fact that the onboarding modal is already polished into a three-page sequence suggests the rollout is fairly far along, and the next round of leaks will likely reveal the actual configuration screens and the list of supported connectors.
