Equinix Fabric One

Equinix Fabric One is a service that untangles the complex network connections that pop up when moving between different clouds and AI models, bringing them together into one unified path.

When you're using servers from multiple cloud providers and several AI models at the same time, the communication routes linking them all tend to be tangled and inconsistent. It's a bit like having to carry a different power adapter for every country you visit. Equinix Fabric One standardizes these connections into a single pathway, so customers can connect the same way no matter which cloud or model they're using.

This service was announced alongside Equinix Inference Exchange, an inference service Equinix launched together with NVIDIA and Together AI. It signals that Equinix — which has traditionally rented out data center space, power, and cooling — now also wants to serve as the plumbing that connects the various services running on top of that infrastructure.
