An agentic application is a program where AI doesn't just give answers to questions, but takes a goal and plans and executes multiple steps on its own to reach it.

Think of the difference between a search box that just gives you information, and hiring an assistant and telling them "take care of this for me." A search engine finds an answer and stops there, but an assistant looks up flights, compares prices, searches again if needed, and even makes the booking.
