Remote Control

Remote Control is a feature that lets you steer work happening somewhere other than right in front of you. Just like turning a TV on or off with a remote, when Claude Code (a coding tool) is running a task on its own somewhere else, this feature lets you check its status and step in when needed.

Coding agents are designed to edit files and run commands without someone watching over every step. But if that work is happening somewhere other than your own computer, it raises the question of how you'd step in if you wanted to pause it or change direction. Remote Control is the channel for doing exactly that.

That said, the detailed usage and supported environments for this feature aren't yet widely known, and it's currently in a stage where bug fixes are still ongoing.

In articles, it shows up in phrasing like "they also fixed additional bugs in the Remote Control feature, which lets you control tasks remotely." This is more about polishing the stability of an existing feature than adding a major new one, so it's worth not mistaking this mention for the introduction of something brand new.
