People Detection Alert is a Flock Safety feature that automatically sends a notification to police whenever someone steps into a specific zone drawn on a surveillance camera's screen. It works a bit like drawing an invisible tripwire across a doorway or a stretch of sidewalk—the moment someone crosses that line, an alert goes off.

The feature doesn't require any description of what the person looks like. Just one person standing inside the marked zone is enough to trigger it. That said, it's designed so that an alert won't be generated unless the system is at least 75% confident the object it detected is actually a person. People Detection Alert, by contrast, doesn't care who someone is—it only watches whether a person is present in a designated location or not.
