Offline Transcription

Offline transcription means turning a recording of a meeting or phone call into text entirely on your own computer, with no internet connection needed. Normally, transcription works by uploading the audio file to a server, but this method skips that step entirely and relies solely on the processing power of your laptop or computer.

Here's an analogy: if regular online transcription is like handing a letter to the post office so someone else types it up for you, offline transcription is like writing it down yourself, right in your own room. Not a single word of the letter leaves the room. That's why it's especially useful for meetings containing sensitive information like names, addresses, or contract terms.
