Claude Code in Action

Claude Code in Action is an online course series from Anthropic that walks you step by step through how to actually use Claude Code, the AI tool that writes code for you, in real work. It's less like handing over a recipe book and more like a cooking class where someone stands next to you and guides your hands.

For example, episode 9 teaches you how to stop copying and pasting files one by one when handing off a setup someone painstakingly built, things like code review rules or deployment checklists, to a teammate, and instead package the whole thing into one pre-wrapped box. It's the same idea as packing your belongings into a single labeled box when moving instead of carrying items around individually.

Rather than just having you read explanations, the course is built so you actually type out real commands in sequence, which makes it easier to build hands-on familiarity than a written manual would.

In articles, you'll see it used like: 'Anthropic released a course showing how to package an entire Claude Code configuration and distribute it across a team.' Keep in mind it doesn't refer to the Claude Code software itself, but to the educational content that teaches, step by step, how to use that software.

Open episode 9 of 'Claude Code in Action' on Claude Academy. Follow the instructions there exactly, and try creating a manifest file with just a name in one of your own working configuration folders, you'll get a hands-on feel for how the packaging process works.
