ASIMOV-Agentic
A name for a benchmark and evaluation framework that tests whether AI agents avoid dangerous actions and follow safety rules.
In plain words
The name ASIMOV-Agentic tells you what it does. 'ASIMOV' comes from Isaac Asimov, the author who wrote the fictional Three Laws of Robotics that told robots not to harm humans. 'Agentic' refers to AI that decides and acts on its own. Put the two together and the meaning becomes clear — it's a tool for testing whether AI that acts and decides autonomously stays within safe rules and avoids harming people.
Think of it like a mock exam given to a new robot delivery courier before letting it out on real roads. It's a procedure for checking in advance whether the AI takes dangerous shortcuts when given a command, or breaks the rules just to accomplish its goal. It's best understood as a testing ground that checks whether AI keeps within safety boundaries on its own, even without a human watching directly.
